What is RAP Côte-Nord?
Réussite, Accomplissement, Persévérance
Starting in 2001, RAP Côte-Nord is a Regional Consultation Body (RCB) that focuses on school perseverance and school success in our region.
As a member of the Réseau québécois pour la réussite éducative (RQRE), RAP Côte-Nord works in collaboration with each of the 18 RCBs present all over the territory of Québec and Nunavik.
The end goal of the organization is to contribute to a higher graduation rate in the region.
2025 – New branding for RAP Côte-Nord
RAP Côte-Nord wanted to modernize its image in order to better reflect its role as an expert on the subjects of school perseverance and school success on the North Shore. The objective was to create a unique visual identity that stands out and clarifies its place.
The logo
The North Shore stands out with its coastal plains, its immense backcountry and its rich river system. The logo takes its inspiration from that territory. This is the setting in which RAP Côte-Nord, working with the education system, is committed to develop and maintain spaces for collaboration between schools, families, and student communities.
The “a” in the logo, stylized and rounded, represents the region, while also working as a reminder of the ribbon, national symbol of school perseverance. It highlights our strong commitment towards this cause, and symbolizes connection and harmony. Its dynamic curves, inspired by nature, are a light touch of warmth and comfort, which perfectly represents the fundamental values of the organization.
The letter “a” is the link between success and perseverance. At RAP Côte-Nord, “accomplishment” goes beyond just meeting our own objectives; it’s also important to support others in their endeavours.
Using lowercase letters leads to better readability and memorizing, while the rounded letters reinforce our authenticity and the importance of the human aspect. The black colour was a natural choice, as it is easy to harmonize with everything, while also symbolizing discipline and success. It is also a sign of trust.
The tagline

The tagline summarizes the nature of the organization and reinforces its place, all in a few words.
The line “moteur d’accomplissement” (“driving accomplishments” in English) evokes a host of resources and skills that help everyone meet their objectives and fulfill its dreams. In this context, the team at RAP Côte-Nord acts as this “driving force”, by combining actions, resources and motivations to realize everyone’s objectives. The tagline contains all five of our intervention areas: mobilization, raising awareness, support, outreach and transfer, and evaluation.

The RCBs, using their expertise and their ability to mobilize the population for school perseverance and school success, have been working together since 2005 to:
- keep school perseverance and school success high in the list of priorities at the national level;
- realize national-scale actions that contribute to an increase in the graduation rates and qualification of young people in Québec;
- develop a common vision regarding early school leaving prevention;
- create a community of professionals where transferring knowledge, and sharing ideas and initiatives, is encouraged;
develop and highlight their expertise.
