Start during their 6th grade!
What do we mean?
The transition to secondary school is a period that lasts 12 months. It starts during 6th grade, before registering for secondary school, and ends several months after starting secondary school.
When starting secondary school, your child must go through important changes in their school life, because they are going to change schools. They must adapt to a lot of new things in their life: teachers, friends, schedule, transportation, etc. In addition to that, your child is also going through changes physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.
The parents’ role
Your child needs you during this transition. The parents’ involvement is a determining factor in students’ school success. During this period, your child will need time, comfort and assistance.
On this page, you will find reliable sources to help you assist your child.
