How to help them make choices
The end of secondary school… At this stage of school, there are many options, and that can lead to lots of questions and concerns.
To help your child choose the right path that corresponds to their needs and their project for the future, you can encourage them to:
- make a list of their interests and skills;
- set themself professional objectives;
- analyze the options they have;
- meet with a guidance counselor;
- do a work internship;
- take part in open day activities of post-secondary establishments;
- etc.
The education system in Québec
The education system is comprised of several levels: preschool, primary and secondary school, college, university and postdoctoral studies.
